Your words always make my thoughts stop
While making tender sweet dreams to begin
I embrace their life as they flow through me
As they touch the whole of me deep within

For the life in your words is so very gentle
So very soothing and so awesomely serene
So when they enter within my entire whole
Everything they touch shines so radiantly

And your words always daily move me
With their power always making images stay
For your words life always overwhelm me
While sweeping all my inner breath away

And I will never be able to stop dreaming
As I daily feel your words sweet embrace
Because in my life I could never live fully
Without Your word’s sweet genuine taste

So Endlessly

I was always so very anxious to be
with you for small moments which
became much larger, and I never wanted to
find a second where I was away from
your enchanting smile

Your hearts spirit touched me with
it’s embracing radiance, which
I lovingly bathed in each day to the
delight of my yearning heart

I remember first trying to resist
what I felt that first moment, when
your eyes touched my escaping breaths
leaving me in a listless state, yet always
leaving me hungering for more…for it
always felt so good

And I soon found my heart only answered
to the sound of your heart’s voice, whenever
you said my name, for every time you said it
I was swept away by its breathtaking rhythm
while being knocked right off my feet

And even your father and mother could see
that we were always one together, yes,
siamese twins connected by our
embracing lips

And my prayer which I had prayed long ago
became so very real as the dream began
to breathe so effortlessly, and I could not
ever let go of its sweet reality…

For the treasure found in my life was
the genuine love which became so real,
as I understood at the precise moment
it was given life, that I was always meant
to love you so endlessly.

The Only One I Need

Oh Lord my God, the beauty of your word
is the strength of my spirit, the brightness
Of your word is the brightness of my heart

You have left me breathless, sweeping my
heart away, whom shall I love in my life
but you. whom shall I embrace each day

You alone have satisfied my thirst, and by
your hands my hunger is stilled. I only stand
because your power has lifted me…

I bow down before you because your grace
has saved me, whom shall I honor this day?
Only you shall be honored with my hearts praise

I shall declare to all whom live in this world
the majesty and the powerful grace of the only
one who can save, the only one with the power
to renew life.

My very breath is yours, as my life belongs to
you alone, if i turn away from you I will surely
suffer and die, because I need your spirit to live

Where My Heart Will Always Dwell

One of my dreams has always been to publish a book of poems praising the Lord, who has blessed me so much throughout my life! I can never thank or praise God enough for the gift His Spirit blesses me with each day, allowing me to write sweet psalms and praises honoring Him for His grace and love. Special thanks to Deborah Levine, the Editor at http://www. americandiversityreport.com, for her amazing support of my poetry beginning in January 2010. She honored me with the opportunity to share my poetry in her wonderful internet magazine that tackles the issues of diversity in our world, with her inspiring articles and messages! I also like to thank my sister-friend , and excellent poet, much better than myself, Bobbie Ward, whose blog site https://tornadoday.wordpress.com, shares some of the most beautiful poetry you will ever read for formatting my book for me, and I am not a fast learner, who always needs a helping hand! She has a very genuine, caring and sharing, and patient spiritual heart. I would also like to thank my sister-friend, Joanne Sher for providing her editing services! Joanne is also a very talented writer-poet and shares weekly at http://www.joannesher.com. My dream was to share my love for God worldwide, and to touch as many as I could with the love He shares with me through the words he delivers to my spirit. My blog site helped me to begin that journey, along with the talent and support of these three wonderful selfless Women! I have been able to take the first step along that path of sharing! A Perfect You

Some flowers slowly came into being
As the sun newly embraced their lives
Their colors were so deeply beautiful
Bringing to my mind such pure delight

So enchanting was their beauty
In such perfectly colored purple hues
As I gently touched each of their petals
I believe I had just touched you

Will you ever really begin to realize
How much your love means to me
How I love to embrace your spirits beauty
In quiet moments only my mind sees

Its a cheerful reality my heart daily knows
Keeping my heart from really feeling blue
During moments when you are away from me
I always invent again a very perfect you.

Thank You Mom

A soft tender voice of reassurance
A warm gentle hand to guide the way
An assurance you were always near
Would brighten many a sad day

Long nights and days that happened
When severe sickness was so near
A soft warm hug and a healing kiss
Often chased away the pain and fear

You have watched over us even till this day
Still sharing your abundant love so true
Blessing always with your daily prayers
Being in our lives a very “perfect jewel”

You were there when we always needed you
Also the times when we didn’t think we did
You were a pillar of strength to your children
A shining legacy that will endlessly live.

Your love was always my security blanket
Your arms always kept me safe and strong
Your special heart was always so genuine
Even loving me whenever I was wrong

Each day nothing moved me more in this world
Than seeing the soothing glow alive in your face
Or feeling your kisses as you held me so very close
Finding the right places to land upon my face

Your every word would always greatly inspire me
Your loving touch could always take my pain away
But when you passed I was left very heartbroken
For I lost my true love and my best friend that day

I remembered thinking I could never make it alone
Without your love and guidance always by my side
But God allowed you to become my perfect angel
Allowing you to wipe the tears that fell from my eyes

I find you are never really far away from me still
As I deeply feel the presence of your love each day
You shall always be the greatest treasure in my life
As deep in my heart your exquisite love will always stay.

My grandmother passed when
I was 14 years old, yet I was with
her all the time as she lived a
couple of blocks away from us.
She lost a leg when I was very
young so I would go around and
help her every day…being with her
was the highlight of my day, and
as Mother’s day approaches, I
wanted to praise her for shaping
my life. When she passed she was
the mother of her Church in
South Philadelphia. I still love her
dearly. I had to wish her a Happy Mother’s Day!
I am sure she will enjoy it!

I can only imagine your smile
I can only dream of your personality
I am so blessed to be able to share
The blessing of your heartfelt words

You are so much a part of me
As you daily bring me to smile
You bring to life such happiness
That embraces my heart each day

My heart embraces your life words
And by the spiritual love you bring
I am often left to happily ponder
What I might write to praise you

I cannot deny what I feel deep within
Knowing I am blessed to taste your love
As your spirit abides with me each day
Never leaving me alone or lonely

And who you are lives through your message
In words made alive through eternal blood

Your heavenly smile reaches deep within me
And its pure radiance embraces my soul
Its softness makes each moment so tender
As you fill my heart each day with your glow

And my heart is made to shine ever so brightly
Just like the morning sun when it rises each day
Looking into my eyes you’ll see them smile happily
As your love’s glow just sweeps my heart away

I feel the joyous ecstasy you always place inside
Which often causes happy tears to fall from my eyes
For my life has never embraced such a consistent love
That makes even a spirit to smile very deeply inside

I am made to feel so very wonderful deep within
And every moment throughout the day so right
As your heavenly glow in my spirit begins to shine
Bringing a certain heavenly bliss in my world to life.
