When You Are Not Near

In Romantic on March 6, 2013 at 7:08 am

Daily I feel the feelings
that run rampant
through the walls
of my heart…

I feel the yearning
that feeds the desire
overwhelming my
thoughts of you

For I long to see you
because I have been
away from you…
Too long

And even though
time passes by so
slowly it becomes
true…

That even an hour does
damage to my heart
when you are not near.

About these ads

  4. This piece is so powerful, I’m speechless. Really.

  5. Your words make me sigh and smile : )

    • When i write poems they are mostly written for God and my wife! But when i present them I try to include images that all in the world can relate to that might enhance the message! I often times read romantic postings that tell of missing someone, and I will place a woman or a man of a different heritage. I guess the point is we all share the same emotions and feelings in our lives, and the same kind of love most of time. That poem just came that way especially the end, because when my wife goes out for a short time to do anything, I miss her much, not in a controlling way, but in a loving way, she is my very best friend, not as close as the Lord but close. I am glad the poem touched you, thanks for sharing your comments! God bless you my sister and have a very blessed day tommorrow!

      • More sighs…and even more smiles : ) I am such a romantic! I feel the same way about my husband. We have been married for 25 years. I often say we are second loves because God is our first love. I look forward to reading more of your work : )
