I seek to daily see
you with the power
of my eyes…

I seek to touch you
always with the tips
of my fingers…

I seek to feel
your love as you
embrace me so
lovingly from afar

Yet, Lord, are you not
Spirit, an eternal forever
that always abounds…

So that even if I touch
a leaf on a tree, there also
a part of your life’s
essence lives each day

For you are the enduring
power of life for everything
that lives, and all that
breathes air is an important
part of you

There is nothing which breathes
in this world, that exists without
your tender kiss of of life always
empowering it each day.

For you are the life force in the
spirit and blood that inhabits
our bodies  always filling us
with your eternal spirits glow

So when we reach out to feel
you, can we not also touch
a flower that blooms as the
the sun rises in the morning
knowing that we have touched
a part of you too?

Can we not look at the sky,
watching the power that
propels the clouds to fly
while enjoying the blueness
that is a painters background
and not see you within?

Can we not feel your love as the
warmth of the first rays of
sunlight awaken us, touching
us with it’s soft kiss, and not
know that know that we have
felt your love’s sweet blessing?

For you are the dearest part
part of us, everything that lives, so
we need not see you with our eyes
to know that you love us and will
always be so very close to us each
day, for your breath is our life, and
you are so very real.
