At The End Of The Day

In Romantic on March 2, 2013 at 2:10 am

When I embrace
You I want the
Moment to last
Longer than before

I want to touch
Your hand and
Feel its softness

Treasuring the thought
That you too wanted
To hold mine…also

I want to call you
When you are at
Work, or at home,
To hear your voice
As it tantalizes me

So that my spirit
Can be lifted
On a natural high

For too many are the
Low times in a day…
When loneliness prods
The soul when we are
Not together

And I miss you badly,
But they are only
Mere thoughts of a
Lonely man

Thoughts that can
Blossom into soft
Realities painted by
By an angels touch
Of love

Where the essence
Of your embrace
Can cause loneliness
To slip far away

Quickly replaced by
The realness of your
Life’s spirit always
Embracing me with
The touch of your
Smiles glow upon
My face

Until we hug each
Other again when
The sun begins to
Set, at the end of
The day.
