You smiled at me and the fires
Begin to rise from the sunken
Depths of deep darkness, which
Was once the marrow of my heart
My inner spirit you lifted upward
Making me to become a whole man
While your hand reshaped the clay
Coloring my world with new life,
New change
My heart no longer sings the sinful
Dismal songs of darkened death.
For you found me and took my chains
Away freeing me from that enemy
You gave my heart a wholesome
And soothing song to sing, one that
Would serenade your ears each day with
Beautiful breathtaking songs of praise
While imparting into my body the handsome
Gift of your treasured spirit, whom is priceless
And so very unique, as new life was laid out
Before me, and the last grasp of the old
One of self was cast into an eternal grave
So very far away
I would have been so lost still choking on
The vines of sin, strangling on ever single
Breath in its dark pit where sinners find
Themselves sharing a self made world on
A endless road of pain and suffering,
If not for your blessing of pure salvation
And it’s forgiving grace
My new path of life leads daily to only you,
Every brilliant morning when the sun rises,
Every afternoon, and every night where
Moments are spent happily with only you,
Praising you with heartfelt prayers while
Being renewed by the power of your living word
And the imperfect life I once embraced has
Become a memory, for my life has been
Saved so wholesomely by my anchor and my
Rock. For I have embraced His eternal promise
Of salvation and eternal love.

O, Wendell ~ there lies our salvation, our immortality.
If each could understand and keep but one commandment (to love), then each would know the blessed sacrament, wherein lies romance, glory, truth, and success. Wherein lies life, and another beyond this.
Perhaps my favorite words from the bible, “and it was good”. We are blessed; love is our blessing; and love the ultimate commandment of all.
Thank you, Wendell. ~ Ever, Bobbie
The words I always remember first as a young lad, Love the Lord thy God with all your heart and soul…true faith has to exist to do this, and when we are alble to do this Bobbie, we love our brothers and sisters as we would love ourselves! And by doing those two we will do all the rest truly living in the love of his wisdom and understanding. Perfecly sspoken and phrased as only you could do, dear sister! God bless you always with God’s perfect love!
