And what shall I say tonight,
For the words escape
My tongue, running free
From their captivity in
Spirited whispers, while
Dancing on unseen vapors…
For my heart now speaks
Silently, sulking without
Understanding it’s inherent
Fall from a life of only one,
Now embracing this very new
Intrusion to its once lonely world,
Yet so new and refreshing, while
I only try to understand the reason
Why…
For there are no words that
Come to my mind falling freely
From my shy heart speaking to
This new love who has revealed
Herself to my once lonely world
Mastering my feelings, while
Making me a slave to her pure
Living essence…
And I find moments now
So alive within a wanting wish
While holding on to a hope
That my tongue may soon be
Set free from its chains, to
Speak poetic phrases that
Will find a new life power to
Dance in a union of happiness…
And I now begin to strike the
Precise note, along with the right
Melody, finding the best combination
Of words that shall find the single
True path which leads to the heart
Of the one I now love, causing my
Written thoughts to bathe so deeply
In her mind’s bliss, while providing
A heavenly light that will illuminate
Those lovely brown eyes, which have
Made my heart a willing slave to
To her smile.
