The Flame Within

In Romantic on January 29, 2013 at 8:41 am

There is a flame which has a home
Within your two brown eyes
A flame who knows no endings
One which burns eternally inside

For only a truly happy person my love
Possesses the blessing which is yours
Because they alone have the magic within
To make the flame burn forevermore

The flame may seem a ferocious fire
Yet to the tender touch there is no heat
Until the moment comes to happen
When we embrace and our hearts meet

And the flame has forever taken refuge
Deep inside your two brown eyes
For they alone show the affection
That to my world will never say goodbye.

  8. How beautiful the reflection ~ to see ourselves through the eyes of love. I love this, Wendell. But maybe it’s because my eyes are brown. :) I do love it. ~ Bobbie

    • Well you made me laugh this morning and smile, for the happiness in your comment lifts my spirit! Bobbie , I never thought of it that way, my wife and both daughters have brown eyes, I have brown eyes and alot of people we both know probably have brown eyes, so the blessing of the poem showers more than one. Everyone can think of it as their own then. God bless dear sister and may your day be abundantly blessed!
