In the midst of my daily sufferings
To His holy vine I will tightly cling
For I place my heart within the hope
Of the sure promise of my king
And though pain is such a part of me
As the sun above a part of my day
Each day I rise up and thank him
With sweet words of succulent praise
For my faith has greatly been increased
Because from His word I will not stray
And each day my heart happily lifts Him up
Always longing for his precious love to stay
So I might enjoy the tranquility of Heaven
Along with the serenity His love will bring
And my heart will always embrace His love
With the sweet songs that my spirit sings.
