Your love became the only true answer
To a prayer that I had often prayed
When I first believed In your promise
And wanted to stay with you always
I found, Lord, that I really needed you
To be the beauty which fills all of my days
Always making your love my daily desire
And a true treasure which will forever stay
For your love I find is the truest blessing
Which in this world my life could ever receive
And its radiant richness is a priceless treasure
That shall always forever be locked within me
For your love was more than just an answer
To the prayers my heart would always pray
It’s a pearl that’s discovered of such great worth
Which I will cherish past the end of my worldly days

Now this is interesting to me, Wendell–just today I was talking with someone about dreading the inevitable loss of someone dear to me, because it would mean the end of that love. And you write that we will “cherish past the end of our worldly days”, the mutual love we have with the Lord. If those we love are also saved, we’ll love them past this lifetime, as well.
