Such a radiant gold is
The sunset which has
Made a painters canvas
Of the sky
The moon has an eerie
Glow around it, as the
Stars stand by it’s side
And all has become
So quiet with nothing
Really feeling the same
For I had met you
the first time this
Evening, and now
My heart does hum
Your name
And nearby I find a
Bench so that I might
sit down to Deeply
Contemplate
What now has happened
To my small world, since
We met this day face to face
For what is happening
comes so fast, and
So unreal it seems to be
But when looking deep
Into your eyes,even my
Breath was taken away
From me
And now as the stars
Shine in unison
And the sunset has
Faded away…
My heart looks forward
To tomorrow, for I know
I have met my true love
…today.

What a lovely verse! Love and radiance seems to drip from the words. But the promise of “meeting” is to live in the moment. How many of us hold the ability to do that?

I see eviddence in what shines through your words, for your fire is still so very ignited! And God’s love within you keeps the flames burning, all love begins with him and spreads to others! It’s a real blessing that once you receive it, it never leaves your side or heart! God bless always Sis!
I always love reading these older ones and just imagine how you’ve been writing for so many years and still going strong with the inspiration. Beautiful as always Wendell
Thanks for the wonderful words, It seems it always continues that way! It started writing romantic poems to God and then wifey, and it always continues. It a refelction of His love that lives within me, just like this morning i started reading my bible about 4:00 am and I got through two verses, and in between I was inspired to write two poems. And it always happens that way. But i always figure there is a message in each one i write for someone, somewhere. God bless and much love to you always my friend and brother!

I called it divine intervention in a life spinning into the abyss, until He pulled me back to himself and set me on a new road in life….He blessed me with more than a wife and a friend…but a larger family who also share the love in his words, through what they write and share each day! God bless you Bobbie, your comments are always very moving they touch deep making the spirit smile dear sister!
