You call to me and I answer
sometimes I am stubborn
and you call again finding
that sometimes i turn my
face away…
Sometimes i hear your voice
and yet i close my ears and
also the vents to my heart
that i might not answer…
Yet when you do not call i cringe
stumbling in the darkness, where
night becomes my cell and loneliness
my robe…
When I do not hear your voice
I wonder if I still have favor
with you, or if by taking you
for granted I have caused you to
turn away from me…
But in all of my selfish moments
I come to the realization, that in
my life I need you more than you need
me…
And I awaken as if from a dream,
longing for the sound of your voice
or for your kiss upon my cheek and
a warm hug from your always embracing
arms, for Father, I need your
love…always.

Sounds like apotheosis of Jonah.
Carl when i had a great change in my life back in November 1976, it came while I was reading the book of Jonah, as i prayed his prayer while he was in the belly of the whale. I was healed of an injuiry that same day. That day, that moment, those words are framed on the walls of my heart. Thank you my friend and hope all is well with you …God bless!

Even though you may not understand how God works, Wendell, the truth is that you know He does. Regardless the miles, He waits up every night on the porch……. ~ Love, Bobbie
We both do dear sister for He is never far from us, and he is perfect so he never turns aways even when we wonder in our most incomplete state if he has! His promise never fails or changes. Your words are always true Bobbie and a bright light that shines. God bless!
